Items donated by Sir Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys and others go on auction via eBay to benefit Syrian refugees. One extraordinary item is the Blur Ice Cream Van seen on stage at Hyde Park, London, England, UK, earlier in the year. The auction, organised by drummer Dave Rowntree of Blur, was initiated in the wake of the recent horrific terrorist attack on The Bataclan in Paris, France, Europe.
Ronnie Bright dies aged 77 in New York City, USA. He had found success as a vocalist from the 1950s until the 1970s, with The Valentines, The Cadillacs, The Deep River Boys and The Coasters. He also provided the distinctive bass voice on the 1963 hit single Mr. Bass Man by Johnny Cymbal.
