The mother of jazz trumpeter Buddy Bolden calls the police in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, because of his agressive and threatening behaviour, largely the result of his addiction to alcohol. The following month Bolden is incarcerated in the State Insane Asylum at Jackson.
