The short musical film His Pastimes, starring guitar, banjo and ukelele virtuoso Roy Smeck opens at cinemas in the USA. It appears on the same bill as the Warner Brothers' movie Don Juan starring John Barrymore. These are the first features to be released using the Vitaphone sound-on-disc system.
