In pursuit of a violent criminal nicknamed The Radio Burglar, Detective Charles McCarthy questions a suspicious young man on 87th Ave. at 2 a.m. The man, real name Paul Hilton, pulls a gun and shoots McCarthy in the shoulder. Hilton, who had shot two officers previously, went on to steal more radios. When finally arrested Hilton was asked why he stole only radios. He replied, "I like music."
