Justin Bieber releases the official video for Yummy, his first single in five years. On the same day he joins the video-sharing social network service TikTok. He soon finds himself criticised for "excessive" promotion of the song during its release week, which includes the release of autographed CD variants, seven different videos, an official Yummy game, online interactions involving Bieber asking fans to buy the song and Bieber's manager Scooter Braun encouraging fans to mass-purchase the song. Yummy debuts at No2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the USA, blocked from the top spot by Roddy Ricch's The Box.
