Jazz violinist Walter Edelstein dies in Thosand Oaks, Los Angeles, California, USA. In a long career he worked with, among others, The CBS Radio Orchestra, The Hartman String Quartet, Jack Teagarden, Ethel Waters, Bunny Berigan, Victor Young, Smith Ballew, Paul Whiteman and the NBC Orchestra. He also participated in recording sessions for Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Gordon Jenkins, Billy Eckstine, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Roy Rogers, Louis Prima, Peggy Lee and June Christy.
