It was impossible; the chicks would swarm on stage with the first two numbers. The kids forced you to stop playing these places, ballrooms and clubs, because the chicks were going crazy. The minute you walked on stage, they'd be ripping you to pieces. You took your life in your hands just to walk out there. I was strangled twice. I used to wear a chain, and the chain would get crossed, one chick pulling that end and one the other. They could kill you in a second - I'd rather be in a fight any day.
