Country Joe McDonald [co-founder Country Joe And The Fish] : We all went over to watch The Paul Butterfield Blues Band and Jefferson Airplane, in Harman Gym on the UCLA Campus. It was so echoey, and we took LSD which made it even more confusing but we thought they were pretty amazing. I was impressed by the light show and particularly by Michael Bloomfield's playing. Each member would take three solos in a row and I thought that was really bold.
