Short story:

Owners Louis Mintz and Alec Coleman give The Roundhouse in Chalk Farm, London, UK, to Centre 42 [an arts organisation] to be used as a centre for the arts. An appeal for funds is launched at the venue on the same day, signed by Yehudi Menuhin, Graham Greene, Vanessa Redgrave, Sir Carol Reed, Peggy Ashcroft, Sir Laurence Olivier, Sir Arthur Bliss, Benjamin Britten, Terrence Rattigan, Albert Finney, Henry Moore and others. It will find considerable success in the late 60s as a venue for rock concerts.
