Frank Ifield : That song goes right back to my childhood. It was one of my dad's favourite songs, and he played a lot of stuff by Bing Crosby, so I was delighted to have another No1 with it. I recorded quite a few of Bing's songs, one of which, Please, was a big hit for me on the continent, although it didn't do well here. I recently heard Paul McCartney saying that it was hearing the double use of the word Please in that song which inspired him and John Lennon to write Please Please Me.
