A busy day for Country Joe and the Fish. They play with The Fugs in the afternoon in the Panhandle of Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, California, USA, on the eve of a peace march. That evening, they play again in the same location in an event called the Candle Opera. Support band for this second show is Mad River, making their debut San Francisco performance. Later in the day, Country Joe And The Fish also play the first of three nights at The Fillmore, with the Loading Zone.
