During a gig by The Flaming Groovies, supported by The Ramones at Dingwalls, Camden, London, UK, a glass of beer is thrown at Joey Ramone on stage by Glen Matlock of The Sex Pistols, and a door is broken. The Pistols are banned. Members of The Clash also attend this gig. This is widely considered a seminal gig for the UK punk scene, because it was the first time that the London and New York punk scenes had encountered each other at a gig.
