The Battle of the Beanfield erupts near Cholderton, Wiltshire, England, UK, Europe, when police divert a travelers' convoy bound for Stonehenge festival. Five hundred travelers and festival-goers are arrested. The Levellers will write their 1991 song The Battle Of The Beanfield, inspired by the event.
