The Ides of March is formed in a basement in Berwyn, Illinois, USA. The band is best-remembered for their 1970 hit, Vehicle. Singer Jim Peterik will enjoy another major hit, Eye Of The Tiger, with another band, Survivor, in the 1980's. Vehicle will become a hit again in 2005 in a version recorded by American Idol contestant Bo Bice.
