The Silver Beetles perform at Grosvenor Ballroom, Liscard, Wallasey, UK. When drummer Tommy Moore doesn't show up, guitarist John Lennon asks if anyone in the crowd can play drums. A local teddy boy gang leader named Ronnie steps up, but proves to be completely useless. Violent scenes are barely avoided as Ronnie is removed from the stage. [The Silver Beetles will, in due course, become The Beatles.]
