Short story:

The song Aquarela do Brasil is performed for the first time, by Aracy Cortes, at the premiere of the musical play Entra na Faixa, by Barroso and Lu's Iglesias, in Brazil. It will go on to become one of the most famous latin-American songs of all-time and will find huge success around the world, usually with its title reduced just one word - Brazil. A huge favourite with jazz musicians, it will become the first Brazilian song to be played over a million times on American radio.
