Felix Arndt dies in Harmon-on-Hudson, New York State, USA, during the worldwide flu epidemic. He was an accomplished pianist and prolific composer, best-known for writing the song Nola which will become a jazz standard. Arndt is also notable as an influence on George Gershwin.
