Elvis Presley spends the first of three days screen-testing for film producer Hal Wallis at Paramount Studios, Hollywood, California, USA. During the test Presley will perform two scenes from The Rainmaker and will lip-sync to Blue Suede Shoes. Wallis' partner, Joe Hazen, comments, "As a straight actor, the guy has great potentialities."
