After an appearance by a trampoline artist, Martin says "That's the father of The Rolling Stones. He's been trying to kill himself ever since."

Bill Wyman (bassist, Rolling Stones) : We just got totally ridiculed, live on television, by Dean Martin. He was the compere, and drunk out of his brain anyway. He was just fucking rude, which didn't do us any good. And they cut our three songs to 45 seconds of one song, that's all we got. It was a total disaster.
