Bruce Eskowitz (manager, Lionel Richie) : Despite being a country music album, Tuskegee was not so much of a departure as some people might think. Remember, Lionel wrote Lady for Kenny Rogers, and Deep River Woman for Alabama, so he has a history of writing huge country hits.
The great thing about Lionel is that his music is universal. I’ve been around the world with him and it doesn’t matter where you go, everybody knows his songs.
