Beau Charles (guitarist, The Knickerbockers) : I have a tape of us when we were on American Bandstand and it's hilarious because you can see the awe in our eyes when Dick Clark comes up to us and asks, 'So where are you guys from?'
We had only been in California for about six weeks before Lies hit and everything happened so quickly. We didn't have time to catch our breath. And then we got signed to Where The Action Is, which aired at four-thirty every afternoon during the week. That was another of Dick Clark's shows.
