Keith Moon wasn't drinking on stage then. Spending time with Moon was quite hairy. He was so into his music and his drumming that you couldn't really have a conversation.
It's hard to over-emphasise how exciting they were as a live band, amazingly mad, they used to go bananas. Pete wanted the group always to make an impression, and it was the aggression that really made tha band.
