It is reported by Billboard magazine in the USA that Elektra Records has completed a deal for its releases to be manufactured and distributed in the UK. Elektra executive Joe Boyd is already in London as the company's British-based production supervisor.

Joe Boyd : Elektra in Britain will now be a fully-fledged British label. First we shall concentrate on getting our American product onto the British market, then I hope that we will sign and record British talent for Elektra releases on both sides of the Atlantic. There is a major folk revival going on in Britain and some of the artists signed to our label - Tom Paxton, Phil Ochs and Judy Collins - are partly responsible."
