John 'Binky' Philips (fan, viewer) : I had never seen amplifiers before and Townshend had his big super Beatle with a Union Jack draped over it. I dug the Stones a lot and Daltrey really didn't really hit me because I was into Jagger so much, but Townshend's face, especially his nose, and Keith Moon really blew my head. I had only seen a drummer like Charlie Watts and here was this guy just making faces, closing his eyes, blowing his cheeks up and swinging his arms like a maniac. I really dug them.
