Fact #192158

When:

Short story:

Dusty Springfield arrives back in London, England, UK, Europe, after having been deported from South Africa for performing in front of mixed-race audiences.

Full article:

Dusty Springfield : I may sue the South African Government. My manager, Vic Billings, is seeing my lawyers today. If they want to sling mud around they've picked the wrong person because I have a far more deadly aim.

They say I wasn't deported but it's a very fine line between being deported and being given 24 hours to leave. I think the difference is that if you are deported they pay your fare."

I won't be going back until they sort this thing out which I don't think will be in my lifetime.
