Dusty Springfield is deported from South Africa for "blatantly flouting apartheid laws" (i.e. performing in front of an multiracial audience) at a show near Cape Town. As she is escorted to the plane, black airport workers form an impromptu guard of honour for her.

Vic Billings (manager, Dusty Springfield) : The guy promoting the tour, Dennis Wainer, was a Jewish lawyer who ran legal aid for coloured people, so the South African Government weren't terribly enamoured with him. Also it emerged afterwards that in 1965 they were going to strengthen the Bantu laws. We were on a sticky wicket before we went. We didn't know what was going on, apart from the fact we were caught up in the middle of it.
