When:

Short story:

The Animals play a Tuesday lunchtime gig at The Cavern Club, Liverpool, England, UK, Europe.

Full article:

Tony Bramwell (Beatles roadie) : The Cavern was well-established by then, so they had started having bands in from other places, like The Yardbirds, Alexis Korner, and The Animals came over from Newcastle. They turned up, all in their washed-out denims, looking like convicts. What set them apart was that they were into deep blues, like John Lee Hooker, when most of the bands were into this kind of wimpy r'n'b pop. They were a tough bunch, played with a lot of aggression.
