The Shadows appear on UK tv show Sunday Night At The London Palladium. This proves to be last public appearance in the UK of guitarist Bruce Welch with the group. He is revealed to be leaving for health reasons, and will go on to take control of their record label Shadrich and the music publishing companies Joanline Music and Shadows Music.
