Short story:

John Lennon of The Beatles sets off on holiday to Paris, France, Europe, with his wife Cynthia.

Full article:

John Lennon : I took my cine camera and I exposed so many rolls of film I lost count. We only stayed eight days. One of the first things I did was to go up the Eiffel Tower. I couldn't afford it the last time I was in Paris, so I was determined to make the trip this time.

We went to a lot of the clubs but it was so expensive I don't know how I lived on my last visit. When we go to play at The Olympia, I'm taking sandwiches. It was a terrific holiday. Some nights I'd get to bed about two am, and other nights I just didn't bother at all.

Cynthia Lennon : To watch his metamorphosis was fascinating … student, father, Beatle, creative genius. He never stopped creating. He was constantly searching for something new and trying to find himself within it.

When I was with him, he was battling to understand his early life. And for the first three or four years we were together he had a stability he had never had before.
