The National Guardian newspaper in the USA publishes a feature categorising Bob Dylan as a spokesman for the Old Left. Dylan will find the feature exasperating and will reject its over-simplification of his attitude.

Suze Rotolo (Dylan's girlfriend) : I remember just how he felt when he read that National Guardian story. It all came out as 'Our Spokesman'. Even then, he didn't want that ... that kind of stuff turned him off.
