Paul McCartney : We were in a van up in Newcastle on tour. We were on our way back to the hotel and I got the idea for doing one of those answer-type songs where someone says, 'She Loves You' and the other person says, 'Yes' or 'Yeah, Yeah.' John and I thought it was a stupid thing, and it really was when you think about it, but at least we had the idea to write a song called She Loves You. So then we just sat up in one of our hotel rooms for a few hours and wrote it.
