Paddy Gythfelt (Danish rock musician) : Bent Fabric was the only Danish musician ever to have won a Grammy award, which was back in 1963, ahead of Elvis Presley! The song was Alley Cat and it was chosen as the best rock'n'roll song of the year. We didn't understand why, because Alley Cat is not a rock'n'roll song. It was a great record but it wasn't a rock'n'roll record. We realised later that it must have been a political decision because they didn't want Elvis to win that year. You cannot give the best rock'n'roll record Grammy to Alley Cat. Bent Fabric didn't even go to America to collect the award. Even he thought it was a joke.
