Miranda Ward (journalist) : I first met The Beatles when they were doing the 625 Show. John was very forward, really coming on to me very strongly although we'd only just met. It was noticeable that they treated Ringo badly, just as they did in A Hard Day's Night. And, when the show was over, they were all helping their roadies Mal and Neil, to load the gear into the van, except for John who was literally doing cartwheels up the road because he was so excited that he was going to meet Hank Marvin of The Shadows at a party later that night. They were going to a party with Cliff Richard and The Shadows, but John couldn't care less about Cliff. It was Hank he wanted to meet.
