George Harrison : The Please Please Me album cover is crap. We hadn't even thought it was lousy, probably because we were so pleased to be on a record. With The Beatles was the first one where we thought, 'Hey, let's get artistic.'
Roger Waters (Pink Floyd] : That first Beatles LP is stuffed with very tight, infectious songs.
Neil Sedaka : In 1963 a new group came out. They were called The Beatles. So, us guys who smiled a lot, clean-cut American, were pushed out the door. And I stopped singing for ten, eleven years.
