David Buckley (Barracudas) : Living in Chelsea I woke up in a haze and heard it on the radio. Something had happened to John and Yoko. I asked Pandi if she had heard what it was? A car accident??? It was now clear, John Lennon was shot dead in NYC. Shocked though I was, the Barracudas had a photo session off of oxford street. I remember thinking the whole reason I came here was because of the Beatles. I remember passing headlines on the newspaper dispensers along the street as they used to do. 'John Lennon shot dead!' An incredibly sad day.....carried on with the photo session...the show must go on. 1980.
