The Golden Rose Rock Festival, an eight day event, is taking place in Montreux, Switzerland, Europe. Artists appearing today include Elton John with Millie Jackson, Culture Club, Dire Straits, Talk Talk and The Pointer Sisters. Boy George collapses after the Culture Club performance with what is described as 'a larynx problem.' The festival is filmed by BBC-tv for broadcast later in the year.
