Celebrated rock club deejay Jerry Floyd dies from a long-standing liver complaint in London, England, UK, Europe. Floyd had been the resident deejay at The Marquee Club in London for the fifteen years before his death.

Jack Barrie (director, The Marquee Club) : He really did live for music. He was a great champion of punk and really did come into his own in that era. A lot of bands owe some of their early breaks to him. The Police and Pretenders are two that come to mind. He was a great influence in that respect and was always listened to. He put a lot of heart and energy into his work.
