David Ackles : I didn't do much (in the UK) but I was fortunate enough to do a couple of live concerts. Memory being what it is, I'm not sure what parts of London they were in. I did a club date, I did several television shows – the Old Grey Whistle Test, Colour Me Pop – classics of their time, and had a lot of fun doing them, and got to meet some terrific people.
We wished, both my wife and I, that I had been able to secure jobs in England, so that we could have stayed there.
