Orchestra leader and arranger Nelson Riddle dies of cardiac and kidney failure, aged 64, in Los Angeles, California, USA. As well as working with Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, Riddle composed the themes for such tv shows as Route 66 and The Untouchables. He also enjoyed a No1 hit single in the USA with Lisbon Antigua in 1956.
