Robert Smith : A lot of the time I’m still trying to play John McGeoch’s guitar parts and failing. If I went on like this for a few more months I’d be the next one to have a breakdown. It’s fine at the moment though. It’s a balancing act and, as long as I don’t fall over, it’ll be all right.

I need a holiday. I keep making plans to go every week, but every week I’m in another group.
