Marc Almond : It was like an indoor Reading Festiva, a constant stream of bands piling on and off the stage. When we were playing there was another band doing their soundcheck! A real battle of the bands. It was good fur us, a lot of people saw us, but we had terrible reviews, except one in a German magazine which said, ‘Soft Cell create a beautiful new world with rubber edges.’
