Short story:
The Who begin a Tour of North America at The Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles, California, USA.
Full article:
Roger Daltrey (vocals, The Who) : You have to tour for at least six weeks over there. The first three-weeks pays your fares and all the expenses. The fourth week pays for your road managers. The fifth pays for your manager. The sixth is profit for us…
Roger Daltrey (interviewed by Carol Gwenn of Teenset at The Shrine) : The money – that's what it is over here. We get paid more to play forty five minutes here than we do for an hour or more at home.
That last number we did, The Magic Bus, thing, runs almost twenty five minutes, but it's not all that long, you know? I mean, it doesn't feel like it goes on for such a long time. I'd like to keep on going for another twenty minutes after that.
