Julie Lawler (audience) : He hits the stage floor hard and curls into himself as they fall upon him, making no effort to escape or fight back. His bodyguard eventually comes on stage and hauls them off, but Morrissey remains prone for a while, quietly gathering himself up. He slides back to the drum riser and climbs it slowly until he is standing. Then, pale but perfectly calm, he picks up the mike and resumes performing.
