Andy Rourke (bassist, The Smiths) : He was like the little kid - a lot younger than the rest of us. That night, we bought him 21 brandies and made him down them in front of us. In the morning, apparently, the maid phoned the tour manager - there was puke everywhere. There must have been a couple of bottles in him. He wanted to go home the next morning. We had to talk him out of it.
