Leon Russell : I was born with spastic paralysis which, in today's medical parlance they call cerebral palsy. It caused a paralysis on my right side with very limited neurological connections, so I had to really devise ways to play that I could get around that limitation. I kinda play a little bit of a thing with my left hand that's like a Chet Atkins or a merle Travis, just an octave thing. I use my left for bass lines and the right for more rhythmic horn-like parts. I'm a left-handed piano player for sure.
