Geoff Travis (owner, Rough Trade) : I was the owner and I gave my shares to everybody else. People say I was crazy for doing it. Although it was difficult, I wouldn’t do it any differently. It’s interesting working in a small group. There’s no obvious hierarchy and although I was responsible for our success or failure, they were responsible too. Without them, I couldn’t do anything.
