Rock band Ambros e Sl ade are photographed for the cover of their debut LP, Beginnings, at Pouk Hill Quarry, Walsall, West Midlands, England, UK, Europe. The occasion will inspire Noddy Holder to write the song Pouk Hill in 1970, and the group will eventually re-name itself simply as Slade.
