Full article:

DJ Fontana (Presley's drummer) : We went to Hawaii and did a benefit there for Pearl Harbour. He helped buld that Arizona Memorial. If it wasn't for Elvis they would never have got it built.

DJ Fontana (Presley's drummer) : Elvis hadn't changed as a live performer. He always felt the crowd. He always played the crowd. He knew what tunes would get the crowd going. We had myself and Scotty, we had Bob Moore playing bass…

Bob Moore (bassist) : It was my only live performance with Elvis. Overwhelming. There was a huge crush of people. Young women tearing at your clothes. A million Flashbulbs . It was blinding. Our view from the stage was like looking into a sky of exploding stars.

DJ Fontana (Presley's drummer) : Boots Randolph was there and Minnie Pearl. Those were great shows, they were really good.

Honolulu Advertiser (review) : The show was fast-paced and slick. It jumped. When Elvis came on The Teenagers screamed for two and a half minutes without let-up. Elvis was wearing his famous gold jacket with silvery glints like sequins, dark blue trousers and a white shirt and a blue string tie.

He wiggles as much as he ever did. The Army didn't make him a bit conservative.
He started singing Lonely In The Night. The applause was like a shock wave. Then Buttercup, A Fool Such As I, The Big Three Surrender, Don't Be Cruel and, of course, Hound Dog. The applause came roaring in.
