Billboard magazine in the USA reports that Columbia Records sales for the past year (1961) have increased by 25% beyond the 1960 figure. It is also reported that in 1961 the company had three LPs which exceeded the 1m sales mark - The Sound Of Music original cast soundtrack, Sing Along With Mitch by Mitch Miller and the same artist's More Sing Along With Mitch.
