Buffalo Springfield are in Atlantic Studios, New York City, USA, working on the tracks Mr. Soul, We'll See and My Kind Of Love. Otis Redding, who is interested in recording Mr Soul, visits them during the session, but Neil Young refuses Redding the opportunity to record it. Later that night at their hotel, bassist Bruce Palmer is arrested for possession of marijuana. He is subsequently sentenced to three months in prison and deported to Canada.
